2. Consumer Rights

As a customer, you have all rights guaranteed under the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (“Zakon o varstvu potrošnikov, ZVPot-1”) and applicable EU consumer protection regulations.

3. Product Information and Ordering

3.1 Products

The Keepers offers a curated selection of furniture and home goods from European craftspeople and manufacturers. All products are described as accurately as possible on our website, including materials, dimensions, colors, and other relevant characteristics.

3.2 Prices

All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR). Prices include VAT only if explicitly stated. VAT is applied before check-out based on delivery address. Prices are valid at the time of order confirmation. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

3.3 Ordering Process

  1. Browse our collection and add desired items to your cart
  2. Proceed to checkout and provide required delivery and contact information
  3. Select your preferred payment method
  4. Review your order summary, including total price and delivery costs
  5. Confirm your order by completing payment
  6. You will receive an order confirmation via email

3.4 Order Confirmation

Once we receive your order, we will send you an email confirmation. The purchase contract is concluded when you receive this confirmation email. Please check that all details are correct and contact us immediately if you notice any errors.

4. Payment

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay

4.2 Payment Processing

Payment is processed at the time of order. Your order will only be processed after successful payment verification.

5. Shipping and Delivery

5.1 Shipping Regions

We are shipping to all of the EU as well as the United Kingdom.

5.2 Delivery Methods and Costs

The current shipping costs are available at https://thekeepers.shop/shipping/.

Shipping costs vary depending on the size and weight of your order, as well as your delivery location. Estimated shipping costs will be displayed during checkout before you confirm your order.

5.3 Fulfillment

Products may be shipped either:

  • Directly by The Keepers, or
  • Directly from the manufacturer/craftsperson

The shipping method will be indicated in your order confirmation. Delivery times may vary depending on the fulfillment method and product availability.

5.4 Delivery

Delivery is made to the address you provide during checkout. Please ensure this information is accurate. If delivery fails due to incorrect address information provided by you, you may be charged for re-delivery.

You will receive tracking information via email when your order is dispatched.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Cancellation)

6.1 Withdrawal Period

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the date you (or a third party designated by you) receive the goods, without giving any reason.

6.2 How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by sending a clear statement to:

6.4 Return Procedure

If you withdraw from the contract, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you informed us of your withdrawal.

The costs of return shipping are covered by us. We will send you a shipping label that allows you to return the goods free of charge.

Products must be returned in their original condition and packaging, unused and with all tags attached.

6.5 Products for Which Manufacturer Ships Directly

For products shipped directly from the manufacturer, returns should be coordinated with us. We will provide specific return instructions, which may involve returning the product to the manufacturer’s address. The same withdrawal rights apply.

6.6 Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned goods, we will notify you of the refund status. If approved, we will issue a refund within 14 days of receiving returned goods. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method you used for the original purchase.

6.7 Exclusions from Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products or products made to your specifications
  • Products that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons if opened
  • Products that have been used or damaged through your handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning

7. Warranty and Liability for Defects

7.1 Legal Warranty

In accordance with Slovenian law (ZVPot-1), we provide a minimum 2-year warranty from the date of delivery for all products sold to consumers.

During this period, if a product proves to be defective or does not conform to the purchase contract, you have the right to:

  1. Request repair or replacement of the product (free of charge)
  2. Request a price reduction or cancellation of the contract if repair or replacement is impossible or disproportionate

7.2 Warranty Claims

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Description of the defect
  • Photos of the defect (if applicable)
  • Proof of purchase

7.3 Manufacturer’s Warranty

Some products may come with additional manufacturer warranties. These do not affect your legal warranty rights.

7.4 Limitation of Warranty

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by improper use, neglect, or accidents
  • Damage caused by failure to follow care instructions
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs

8. Liability

We are liable for damages in accordance with applicable Slovenian law. Our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

9. Data Protection

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://thekeepers.shop/privacy-policy/.

We collect and process only the personal data necessary to fulfill your order and comply with legal obligations. Your data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Slovenian data protection legislation.

10.2 Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution

In accordance with EU Regulation 524/2013, consumers have the right to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for out-of-court resolution of disputes arising from online purchases.

10.3 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Slovenian law, except where mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence provide greater protection.

For consumers within the European Union: Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your mandatory consumer protection rights under the law of your country of residence. You may bring legal proceedings in relation to these Terms and Conditions either in the courts of Slovenia or in the courts of the EU member state where you live.

For consumers outside the European Union: Once we expand to global markets, specific terms may apply depending on your location and local consumer protection laws.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Orders placed before changes take effect will be governed by the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of order.
