Care Instructions
Environment
Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources (radiators, fireplaces), and humidity extremes (below 40% or above 60%). These cause colour change, surface cracking, and wood deformation. Use insulating mats under hot pots and bowls.
Lacquered surface
Dust with a soft lint-free cloth (cotton, linen, buckskin). Don’t press hard.
Wipe spills immediately, let the area dry.
Cleaning products not necessary if used, follow manufacturer instructions.
Never use: solvents (acetone, benzene, trichloroethylene), abrasive pastes/powders, furniture polish or oil/wax-based products.
Oiled surface
Dust with a dry lint-free cloth.
Wipe spills immediately in the direction of the wood grain, dry right after.
Re-oil periodically when spots feel rough or porous, use TON-recommended product, test on hidden area first. Video tutorials on ton.eu.
Never use: solvents, abrasive pastes/powders.
Screws & joints
Regularly check and tighten all screws and bolts. Loose joints cause damage over time.
